CODE DEPARTMENT
RESPONSIBILIES
The primary responsibility of the code services department is the administration and enforcement of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code.
The department also provides enforcement services for zoning, property maintenance, housing and other local municipal ordinances on an as needed basis.
The department works closely with municipal public safety departments to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of their citizens with the proactive enforcment of quality of life and life safety codes.
